INDIANAPOLIS – 27 Horizon League teams across 12 different sports were recognized by the NCAA for strong academic performance. To make the list, teams had to be top 10 percent of all Division schools of their respective sport in Academic Progress Rate (APR).
Valparaiso has the most teams of any Horizon League school with six different teams honored. Belmont as an affiliate member of the conference for men’s soccer made the list in the sport. Women’s Cross Country was the sport with the most league representation with five different schools making the cut.
