UW-Milwaukee 90, Youngstown State 67
MILWAUKEE - Joah Tucker led the way with 18 points as UW-Milwaukee claimed a 90-67 victory over Youngstown State and at least a share of its second-straight Horizon League regular-season title Saturday night.
The Panthers (19-5, 12-2 Horizon) would wrap up the outright title with another win or another UW-Green Bay loss.
Boo Davis added 17 points while Chris Hill and Ed McCants pitched in with 13 points apiece as the Panthers sent their season-high crowd of 6,455 home happy.
Quin Humphrey led Youngstown State (4-19, 2-11) with 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Brian Radakovich added 13 points and Jon Mends had 11.
Butler 65, Detroit 50
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A.J. Graves scored 21 points and Bruce Horan added 15 to lead Butler to a 65-50 victory over Detroit on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (10-13, 5-8 Horizon League) trailed briefly in the first half before a 3-pointer by Horan gave Butler the lead for good only about four minutes into the game.
Butler took control with its superior shooting and ended the game with 45 percent from the field (21-of-46), while the Titans managed only 35 percent (16-of-45).
After leading 29-22 at the half, the Bulldogs pushed their edge into the double-digits, leading by as many as 18 points before ending the game with a 15-point advantage.
Butler also got 12 points from Brandon Polk and 11 points from Brandon Crone.
Detroit (9-14, 5-8) was led by Brandon Cotton, who had a game-high 22 points. James Thues was the only other Titan player in double figures, with 11 points.
Loyola 80, UW-Green Bay 64
CHICAGO (AP) -- Majak Kou had 21 points Saturday to lead Loyola to an 80-64 upset of UW-Green Bay.
Loyola (8-16, 6-8 Horizon League) trailed 53-45 with 10 minutes left in the game, but scored 24 unanswered points in a seven-minute span to build a 69-53 margin. Kou had 11 of the Ramblers' points in that run.
DaJuan Gouard added 19 points for the Ramblers, while Blake Schilb added 13 and Tyrelle Blair had 12. Blair also grabbed 11 rebounds for Loyola.
Benito Flores led UW-Green Bay (16-7, 9-4) with 21 points. Josh Lawrence added 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Brandon Morris scored 10.
Loyola outshot UW-Green Bay 52 percent to 36 percent for the game and outrebounded the Phoenix 38 to 31.
UIC 73, Cleveland State 66
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Cedrick Banks had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead UIC to a 73-66 win over Cleveland State on Saturday night.
After the Flames (12-10, 7-5 Horizon League) took a 43-32 halftime lead, Cleveland State (9-12, 6-7) pulled to 45-40 on Omari Westley's three-point play with 13:54 remaining.
Elliott Poole touched off an 8-0 run with two free throws and after a Cleveland State turnover Kevin Bond hit a jumper. Raheem Moss missed a jumper for the Vikings before the Cleveland State bench was assessed a technical foul, with Banks hitting both free throws. Bond closed the rally with a layup for a 53-40 lead.
The Vikings went almost 4 minutes without a field goal.
Cleveland State pulled to 70-66 on Mike Redell's 3-pointer with 26 seconds remaining but Karl White hit a foul shot and Banks added two more.
Justin Bowen scored 15 points and Poole had 12 for UIC, which held a 44-33 rebound margin.
Moss led Cleveland State with 16 points with Westley adding 10.
