Cleveland State Heading To Kentucky For NCAA Regional

The Horizon League champion Cleveland State men's golf team learned its NCAA assignment Monday evening. The Vikings, who have won the Horizon League title two years in a row, will head to Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky., for the NCAA Regional May 14-16. The tournament is hosted by Western Kentucky University.

Cleveland State is the No. 13 seed in the field.

Head coach Steve Weir and CSU competed in the Central Regional in Columbus last season, placing 23rd of 27 teams.

The Vikings won the team title at last week's Horizon League Men's Golf Championship, holding off Detroit by five strokes. CSU has won the League title in three of the past four seasons.
