INDIANAPOLIS –Milwaukee’s Jake Kalinowski is the Horizon League Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Cleveland State’s Matt DiMasso is the Men’s Diver of the Week for Nov 30 – Dec. 6.
Kalinowski, a senior from Prior Lake, Minn., has won his second swimmer of the week award for the season. He competed in the 50 (20.55), 100 (44.84) and 200 (1:39.53) Freestyle events, taking third-place and setting season-bests in all events. He also helped the Panther’s in the 200, 400 and 800 Freestyle Relays and the 400 Medley Relay, setting season-best times against an impressive field.
DiMasso, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio has won his first diver of the week award this season. Cleveland State hosted the City College meet, where he won the 3-Meter dive with a score of 283.60 and took second-place in the 1-Meter Dive (273.50).
Cleveland State is off until January 14, 2011 when it hosts Notre Dame. Milwaukee is also off the rest of the year and are scheduled to compete on January 22 at UIC.
