Men's Athlete of the Week
Andrew Sherman, Butler, Senior, Swindon, U.K.
Sherman captured first place in the Butler-IPFW dual meet with a winning time of 20:25. He finished 14 seconds ahead of runner-up Bill Peterman of Butler and nearly two minutes ahead of the first IPFW runner.
Women's Athlete of the Week
Angie Huebner, UW-Milwaukee, Freshman, Green Bay, Wis.
Running in her first collegiate race, Huebner finished 1-2 with fellow frosh Holly Nearmann to lead the Panthers to a perfect 3-0 record at the UIC Home Opener, which featured dual-meet scoring. On the shorter, two-mile course, Huebner crossed the line in a time of 11:42 to take top honors.

Mead Goedert, Detroit, Junior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert ran in the Bloomer Park Course in a Detroit record time of 21:40 (4 miles), coming in third. He was one of five Titans to finish in the top 10.
Mikhail Davidyan, UIC, Senior, Skokie, Ill.
Davidyan was in strong form at the Eighth Annual UIC Cross Country Home Opener this past Saturday, using a solid pace and a strong burst at the end of the men's 4.1 mile even to take second place with a time of 21:17, leading the Flames to beat three teams. The Skokie, Ill., native led the Flames at the opener for the second year in a row, thanks to his mile pace of 5:12.
Justin Gorman, UW-Milwaukee, Sophomore, SpringGreen, Wis.
In UWM's season-opener, Gorman was the top Pantherfinisher, taking fourth overall. He complete the 4.1-milecourse in 21:29 and led Milwaukee to a 2-2 record at theevent, which featured dual-meet scoring.
Cory Scheadler, Wright State, Senior, Ripley, Ohio
Scheadler ran a 15:56 on Saturday at the DaytonInvitational for a 12th place finish.
Other Women's Top Performers
Andrea Karl, Detroit, Junior, Casco, Mich.Karl placed second at the Golden Grizzly Open running the course in 19:40. She took 32 seconds off of her time from the same race a year ago and was one of three Titans to place in the top five.
Susie Martinez, UIC, Sophomore, Chicago, Ill.Martinez pulled off another team-leading performance at the UIC Home Opener this past Saturday, taking 10th place in a tough field with a two-mile time of 12:22. The winner of the opener last year in her first collegiate race, Martinez edged out teammate Lisa Petty, who turned in an 11th-place performance by finishing just one second behind hersophomore teammate.

Scheadler ran a 15:56 on Saturday at the Dayton Invitational for a 12th-place finish.
