Men's Athlete of the Week
Mead Goedert, Detroit, Junior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert led Detroit at the Natonal Catholics meet as he finishished in 32nd place. His time of 26:21 was just one second off a personal record. The Titans finished seventh of 30 teams, which is their best National Catholic meet finish since 1997.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Maureeca Lambert, Loyola, Sophomore, Bloomington, Ill.
For the second week in a row, Lambert ended the weekend with a team- high finish for Loyola. She captured third place with a mark of 17:50 in the 5,000-meter course, leading the Ramblers to a second-place finish at the Midwest Collegiate meet.

Other Top Men's Performers
Shawn Lucas, Loyola, Sophomore, Elgin, Ill.
Lucas grabbed a team-high fourth place at UW-Parkside last weekend. Lucas finished with a time of 25:25 in the 8,000-meter run.

Josh Nygren, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Marinette, Wis.
Nygren led the Panthers to a fifth-place finish at the UW-Parkside Invitational with a 12th-place finish of his own. He was the sixth Division I runner across the line, completing the course in 25:54. Among the six Division I schools, Milwaukee finished second, behind Iowa State.

Cory Scheadler, Wright State, Senior, Ripley, Ohio
Scheadler took third place in Cedarville's Friendship Invitational run in John Bryan State Park with a time of 25:25 in the 8K race.

Jeremy Riehm, Youngstown State, Senior, Old Fort, Ohio
Riehm finished 11th with an 8K time of 26:05 to pace the YSU men to a fourth-place showing at the Central Collegeiate Invitational last weekend.

Other Top Women's Performers
Leann Sarka, Detroit, Freshman, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Sarka set a new personal record of 19:14 to finish in 23rd place at the National Catholics meet. She helped UDM move up 11 spots from the 2003 meet.

Anna Christian, UW-Milwaukee, Senior, Horicon, Wis.
Christian finished in seventh-place and led UWM to a fifth-place finish in the 20-team field at the UW-Parkside Invitational. The Horicon, Wis. native completed the course in 18:33, making her the third Division I runner across the line. She helped the Panthers to a second-place finish among Division I schools.

Marie McVetta, Wright State, Sophomore, Grafton, Ohio
McVetta finished in ninth place in Cedarville's Friendship Invitational run at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She completed the 5000-meter race with a time of 18:55.88.

Emily Schnitkey, Youngstown State, Junior, Napoleon, Ohio
Schnitkey placed seventh with a season-best 5k time of 18:20 at the Central Collegiate Invitational on last weekend.
