Men's Athlete of the Week
Mead Goedert, Detroit, Senior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert ran a 25:27 and finished in eighth place at the National Catholics meet in South Bend, Ind. He set a new personal record for the event by 40 seconds and becomes only the third Titan all-time to finish in the top 10 at the meet.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Andrea Karl, Detroit, Senior, Fort Wayne, Ind.Karl finished tenth at the National Catholics with a time of 18:24. This set a new personal record for the event and marked an improvement of over 30 seconds upon her previous best.

Other Top Men's Performers
Eduardo Borjon, Loyola, Senior, Woodridge, Ill.Borjon captured 13th place to guide Loyola to third-place team finish at the Illinois Pack It Up Challenge on Sept. 17. The Woodridge, Ill. native crossed the finish line with a time of 27:09.40.

Joseph Mbari, UIC, Sophomore, Gatakuyu, Kenya
Mbari ran a 25:32, his personal-best time in an 8,000-meter race as a collegiate competitor, to take sixth place at the prestigious Central Collegiate Championships (Toledo, Ohio) on Saturday. The time helped propel the Flames to a fourth-place finish and marked the first time Mbari cracked the sub-26 minute mark.

Josh Burke, Wright State, Senior, Casstown, Ohio
Burke finished in 21st place at the Cedarville Invitational with a time of 26:24.20.

Other Top Women's Performers
Ashley Raymond, Loyola, Freshman, Wheaton, Ill.
For the second time this season, Raymond finished as LU's top runner as she helped the Ramblers capture second place in consecutive weeks at the Illinois Pack It Up Challenge on Sept. 17. The harrier from Wheaton, Ill. took sixth place with a time of 18:39.71.

Lisa Petty, UIC, Junior, Willowbrook, Ill.
Petty led the Flames for the second straight meet, the first time she has turned in team-best performances in back-to-back events, at the annual Central Collegiate Championships (Toledo, Ohio) on Saturday. The junior ran a cross country career-best 19:21, chopping 10 seconds off her previous fall-best time, to place 32nd among a tough field of 79 runners.

Christina Hill, Wright State, Sophomore, Fairborn, Ohio
Hill finished the Cedarville Invitational in 28th place with a time of 19:31.60 for the Raiders on Sunday.
