No. 3 Detroit 61, No. 6 Wright State 48 - Final
Milwaukee, Wis. - Brandon Cotton scored 19 points to lead the University of Detroit Mercy to a 61-48 win over Wright State University in the second round of the American Family Insurance Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship at the U.S. Cellular Arena Friday.
James Thues added 10 points for third-seeded Titans (13-15), who advance to a Saturday afternoon semifinal contest against second-seeded UW-Green Bay.
DaShaun Wood led the Raiders (15-15) with 15 points, but Wright State shot just
35 percent from the field, including 27.3 percent in the second half.
Detroit led by just one point at halftime and the game was tied at 41-all with 9:24 remaining. But the Titans outscored the Raiders 20-7 the rest of the way.
