INDIANAPOLIS - Wright State junior Charlie Doll and Detroit junior Alainna Stefan have been named Horizon League Golfers of the Week for the period of March 31-April 6. Both individuals pick up their first award of the campaign.
Doll, a native of Portsmouth, Ohio, finished second out of 30 individuals (67-75=142) on Monday and Tuesday at the Bluegrass Spring Classic in Georgetown, Ky. The Raiders (289-297=586) won the six-team event.
Doll's opening-round score (67) was a career best.
Stefan, a native of Dearborn, Mich., placed first out of 31 golfers (75-79=154) on Friday and Saturday at UDM's invitational in Detroit, Mich. The Titans (314-323=637) won the five-team affair.
Stefan's opening-round tally (75) was a season best. She also earned medalist honors for the second time in her collegiate career.
