INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior Traci Edwards has been named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of Jan. 26-Feb. 1. The selection marks Edwards' record-setting 10th career weekly honor from the League office and her third this season.

A native of Menasha, Wis., Edwards averaged 23 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots in two games last week. The center made 15-of-28 (.536) from the floor, 2-of-7 (.286) from three-point range and 14-of-20 (.700) from the free-throw stripe.

Edwards recorded 30 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in an 83-65 setback to Valparaiso University on Thursday. She followed that up with 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in a 63-58 win over Butler University on Saturday.

Edwards, who broke the Horizon League's all-time scoring record on Jan. 10, has 2,119 career points with at least 10 contests remaining. She also owns 52 double-doubles in three-plus seasons at UWM.
