INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Four Butler players, Mike Green, Pete Campbell, Brandon Crone and Brandon Polk have signed professional contracts to continue playing basketball overseas next year. The quartet, who helped the Bulldogs to 79 victories over the past three seasons, will carry Butler's basketball name to Turkey, Germany, Poland and Finland.

Green, who averaged a team-leading 14.6 points last season, signed a one-year contract to play for Antalya Buyuksehir in Antayla, Turkey. Campbell, one of the top three-point field goal shooters ever to play at Butler, inked a deal to play for the Dusseldorf Giants in the top league in Germany, while Crone, the Most Valuable Player on Butler's 2006-07 squad, signed to play for Kotwica Kolobrzeg S. A. in Kolobrzeg, Poland. Polk, who was Butler's leading scorer in 2005-06, signed with Karhut Kauhajoen in Finland.

Green started every game during his two seasons with the Bulldogs, and he averaged 14.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists for his career. He was named the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2007-08 and was chosen as the Most Outstanding Player at the 2008 Horizon League Championship. He also was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2007 Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout. A first team Mid-Major All-American, Green was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers' summer league team in July.

Campbell finished his career as Butler's all-time leader for three-point field goal shooting with a .483 career shooting percentage. He also set a Butler single season record for three-point field goal shooting with a .519 mark in 2006-07, and he finished sixth on Butler's all-time list for three-pointers with 183 in just two seasons. He averaged 11.7 points as a senior and ranked among the "Top 35" players in the NCAA Division I in both three-point field goals and three-point field goal shooting.

Crone was Butler's second-leading rebounder (4.7) and third-leading scorer (11.4) in 2006-07. He was a starting forward in his final 77 games at Butler, and he was a co-captain on Butler's last NCAA "Sweet 16" team (2006-07). He was named to the Horizon League Championship All-Tournament Team as a senior, after scoring a team-high 35 points in Butler's two tournament games. He finished his career with 997 points and 493 rebounds.

Polk, who was named Butler's Most Valuable Player in both his junior and senior seasons, was chosen Horizon League Player of the Year in 2005-06. He averaged 18.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in his final season with the Bulldogs, a campaign that saw him earn first team All-Horizon League and second team NABC All-District 10 recognition. He led Butler in scoring for two straight years and posted Butler's ninth-highest single season scoring total (593 points) as a senior.

Green and Campbell helped Butler to a 30-4 mark in 2007-08, and the two joined Crone on Butler's 29-7 team in 2006-07. Polk and Crone helped lead Butler to a 20-13 mark in 2005-06.
