The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has recognized the Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving teams, the UIC women's swimming and diving team and the Cleveland State women's swimming and diving team for their success in the classroom during the 2010-11 season. All four squads earned the CSCAA's Team Scholar All-America Award, which is presented to college swimming and diving teams which have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Kacey Cummings of Cleveland State was named to the Scholar All-American list. The Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have qualified for their respective national championship.
Four more Viking swimmers, Carys Behn, Alex Johansson, Joanna Olsson and Alice Sommerville, and Alyssa Danielson of Green Bay earned Scholar All-America Award honorable mention honors. The individual honorable mention Scholar All-American award is given to swimmers and divers who achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher and attained a 'B' time standard in their respective national championship.
