INDIANAPOLIS - When Horizon League representatives Butler University and Cleveland State University travel to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament later this week, the Horizon League Network (HLN) will be along for the ride to provide fans with behind-the-scenes action, interviews, live blogs and much more.
HLN reporter Damon Lewis will be making the trip to Greensboro, N.C. to cover the ninth-seeded Butler Bulldogs, while fellow reporter Adam Coppinger will give fans a taste of Miami, Fla. and the 13th-seeded Cleveland State Vikings.
Leading up to each game, Lewis and Coppinger will post a variety of videos on the HLN Blog. When the teams take the floor, HLN will launch a live blogging portal that will allow viewers to ask questions and provide commentary while watching the game.
"The NCAA Tournament is a special time of the year," said Horizon League Director of New Media & Technology Nate Flannery. "Fans have waited the entire season for this and the Horizon League Network wants to provide an experience that goes beyond the games. Through our video posting and live blogs, it is our hope to create a unique experience that will allow fans to feel like they are with the teams."
