The Horizon League has announced Cleveland State’s Philipp Sikatzki as Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Green Bay’s Michael Klemm as Men’s Diver of the Week.

Philipp Sikatzki totaled three first place wins, including two surpassed NCAA ‘B’ cut times in both individual events he swam. The senior finished 1st/7 in the 100 backstroke event with a time of 47.56, while finishing the 100 butterfly with a time of 47.63, placing 1st/8. While taking lead leg in the 200 medley relay, Sikatzki helped the Vikings register a first place finish with a time of 1:20.62. He also took the lead in the 200 free relay, resulting in a second place finish at 1:22.33. Sikatzki’s performance against Oakland resulted in 18 points individually and helped gain 15 more through relays.
This is the third Swimmer of the Week honor that Sikatzki has received this season.
Michael Klemm/Green Bay/Junior/Diver/Rockford Ill.
Green Bay’s Michael Klemm won both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events this weekend against conference opponent Milwaukee. Klemm won the 1 meter with a score of 288.15, placing 1st/7, and putting him ahead by 27.68 points over second. In the 3 meter event the junior scored dominant 304.27 total, placing him 15.45 points over second place.
This is the first Diver of the Week honor that Klemm has received this season.
The Horizon League has announced Milwaukee’s Sara Bentley and Cassidy Pilo as Women’s Swimmer of Week and Women’s Diver of the Week.
Sara Bentley/ Milwaukee/Junior/Fly/Back/IM/Ames, Iowa
Sara Bentley finishes the regular season with an incredible 17 individual wins on the year, including four first place wins this weekend at Green Bay. Bentley’s 100 back performance placed her 1st/8 with a non-tapered best of 55.58. In both the 200 Back and the 200 IM, the junior also earned first places wins with times of 2:04.70 and 2:08.40. While finishing 1st/7, Bentley also helped her team reach a top time of 1:45.53 in the 200 medley relay.
This is the second Swimmer of the Week honor Bentley has received this season.
Cassidy Pilo/Milwaukee/Sophomore/Diver/Sussex, Wis.
Pilo finished 1st/6 in both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving event this weekend against Green Bay and is now a perfect 4-0 in competition in 2017. In the 1 meter dive, the sophomore recorded her season best with a score of 260.92. Pilo’s 3 meter performance also resulted in leading score with a total of 275.17.
This is the third Diver of the Week honor that Pilo has received this season.
