INDIANAPOLIS -- Wright State University, one of 64 teams in the 2009 NCAA Baseball Championship after capturing its third Horizon League Tournament crown in school history, has earned a No. 4 seed in the Texas Christian University Regional.
No. 2 Texas A&M University (36-22) and No. 3 Oregon State University (35-17) will open the four-team, double-elimination affair on Friday at 3 p.m. ET. The Raiders (33-28) will then face top-seeded TCU (36-16) on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
All games will be played at Lupton Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
Wright State has experience with all three possible regional opponents. The Raiders dropped their first four games of the 2009 season to then top-ranked Texas A&M. In 2006, WSU took one of three games from TCU and suffered a 5-3 setback at Oregon State in the NCAA Tournament.
The TCU Regional begins Friday, May 29, and runs through Monday, June 1. Wright State is making its third NCAA Baseball Championship appearance in school history.
