INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Detroit freshman sprinter Earnest Cleary and Valparaiso senior jumper Melanie Wilson were selected Horizon League men's and women's track Athletes of the Week based on their performances this past weekend.

Male Athlete of the Week
Earnest Cleary
Detroit
Fr., Detroit, Mich.
Cleary set a Titan freshman record by winning the 60-meter dash as he posted a time of 7.02, while competing at the Don Wright Invitational this past Saturday in London, Ontario. He was also part of the winning 4x200-meter relay team that finished with a time of 1:31.98.

Female Athlete of the Week
Melanie Wilson
Valparaiso
Sr., St. Louis, Mo.
Wilson won a pair of of events this past Saturday and took second place in another at the Phoenix Invitational in Chicago, Ill. The Mossouri native also moved into second on Valpo's all-time chart with her winning leap of 18 feet, 7.25 inches in the long jump. She captured the triple jump crown with a mark of 37 feet, 0.50 inches. In the 55-meter dash, Wilson took second with a time of 8.56.

Tommy Davies

Fr., Wickham, U.K.
Davies had Butler's highest individual finish at the Notre Dame Opener in Notre Dame, Ind. this past Saturday as he placed third in the mile. The BU freshman finished the race in a time of 4:17.24.

Donte Prisby
Loyola
So., Orland Hills, Ill.
Prisby set a school record in the 500 meter run as he finished the race in a time of 1:05.10 while competing at the Notre Dame Opener in Notre Dame, Ind. this past Saturday. The LU sophomore finished second in the race.

Chris Honig
Valparaiso
Sr., Chicago, Ill.
Honing won the 3,000 meter run at the Phoenix Invitational in Chicago, Ill. on Saturday, crossing the line in 8:44.99 and leading a 1-2 finish in the event for Valpo. Honig's time was the fifth-fastest time in the event in Crusader history.

John Pallini
Youngstown State
Fr., Medina, Ohio
Pallini threw a career-best 50 feet, 10 inches to finish third in the shot put against Kent State on Friday. That mark ranks him fourth in school history, the freshman now holds the top throw by any League competitor this season.

Isabelle Stoate
Butler
Sr., Horwood, U.K.
Stoate ran the second fastest indoor mile of her career and placed fifth at the Notre Dame Opener in Notre Dame, Ind. The BU senior finished the event in a time of 5:04.40 on Saturday.

Chantel Henry
Detroit
So., Tecumseh, Ontario
Henry was the only winner on the women's side as she won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 1 inch while competing at the Don Wright Invitational in London, Ontario this past Saturday.

Genevieve Binnie
Loyola
Jr., Homewood, Ill.
Binnie placed 12th in the 3,000 meter run as she posted a personal-best time of 10:44.15. She bettered her previous personal-best by 17 seconds. The LU junior also placed 12th out of 22 competitors in the mile run with a time of 5:23.32.

Fr., Riverside, Ohio
McKenzie posted a victory in the shot put at the Cedarville Invitational on Friday and placed seventh in the weight throw. The WSU freshman won the event with a toss of 35 feet, 7.25 inches.

Alisha Anthony
Youngstown State
So., Van Wert, Ohio
Anthony won the long jump (17 feet, 11 inches) and the triple jump (34 feet, 11 inches) while competing in a tri-meet against Kent State and Ohio in Kent, Ohio this past Friday.
