INDIANAPOLIS -- Valparaiso senior Jeffrey Schorsch has been named men's tennis player of the week while Wright State's junior, Karoline Haller has been tabbed as the women's player of the week.
SINGLES
Jeffrey Schorsch / Valparaiso / Senior / Perrysburg, Ohio
Schorsch continued his dominance on the hardcourt going 2-0 in singles play on the week for the Crusaders on their Florida road trip. Against No. 32 Rollins College, the senior playing as the No. 1 singles breezed past his opponent in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. The following day versus St. Mary's, the Perrysburg, Ohio native won 6-2, 6-4. This is the second honor for Schorsch on the year, and the eleventh in his career.
Karoline Haller / Wright State / Junior / Bekkestua, Norway
Playing as Wright State's No. 1 singles, Haller notched two straight set points versus Niagara and St. Bonaventure. The junior rattled off a 6-3, 6-1 point to help guide the Raiders past Niagara 7-0, and her 6-2, 6-3 straight set point helped Wright State win 6-1 versus St. Bonaventure.
DOUBLES
Karoline Haller and Linsey Verstrepen / Wright State
Haller and Vertrepen had no issues on the weekend winning 6-0 against Niagara and 6-1 versus St. Bonaventure. The duo's efforts helped Wright State pick up two wins on the week.
