INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Green Bay junior center Lavesa Glover was tabbed Horizon League women's basketball Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Glover received the weekly honor after she helped the Phoenix to a 2-0 mark this past week, while averaging 26.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Glover earned her first career Player of the Week honor and becomes the third different player from Green Bay to receive the League's weekly honor. The Phoenix center receives the award after she scored a career-high 34 points in Green Bay's overtime win against Wright State on Thursday. Glover finished the day going 17-of-21 from the field while adding six rebounds in the overtime win. Glover then tallied 19 points against Detroit on Saturday in the final game of the season. For the week, Glover shot a 72.2 percent from the field and her 34 points were the most by any Phoenix player since 2000.

Lade Akande, Butler
Jr. * C * Robinson, Ill.
Akande led the Bulldogs to their 20th win of the season against Valparaiso on Saturday, scoring a team-high 15 points and adding a team-best seven rebounds in Butler's 66-58 victory. The BU junior finished with a 6-for-13 mark from the field while posting a 3-of-5 effort from the line.
Kailey Klein, Cleveland State

Klein averaged 26.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, while shooting 38.0 percent from the field and 88 percent (28-32) from the line as CSU split a pair of games in Chicago over the weekend. In Saturday's win at Loyola, Klein recorded her second career double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds. In Thursday's setback at UIC, Klein totaled 28 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Jessica Hylton, Loyola

Hylton averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game and knocked down seven three-pointers as Loyola closed out the regular season by splitting a pair of games against Ohio schools. Hylton poured in a career-high 25 points and added nine rebounds in LU's loss to Cleveland State. The 25 points surpassed her previous best of 15 set last month at Butler. On Thursday night's win over the Youngstown State Hylton scored 14 points.
Traci Edwards, Milwaukee

Edwards led the Panthers to a 2-0 record in the final week of the regular season to clinch the third seed in the League tournament. In two games this past week, Edwards averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game, while making 19-of-22 free throws and shooting 60.0 percent from the field. On Thursday, Edwards posted a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds against Detroit as she connected on 12-of-14 free throw attempts. On Saturday, Edwards scored a team-high 17 points and finished with four steals against Wright State.
Jessie Miller, UIC

Miller averaged a team-high 19.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Flames in two contests this past week. Miller began the week by going 5-for-8 from the field, totaling 17 points in a 93-80 win over Cleveland State on Thursday. She then led UIC with 21 points against Youngstown State on Saturday. The sophomore was 8-for-12 from the field and tied her career-high with five three-pointers against the Penguins. Miller also totaled four assists and four steals on the afternoon.
Aimee Litka, Valparaiso
Jr. * F * South Bend, Ind.
Litka led all scorers at Butler with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. The Valpo guard made three 3-pointers, moving her just one spot shy of seventh place on Valpo's single season list with 64. Litka also pulled down six rebounds, including three on the offensive end.
Shey Peddy, Wright State

In two games this past week Peddy averaged 21.0 points per game in a pair of losses. The WSU guard opened the week by hitting four three-pointers and scored 24 points and tallied five steals at Green Bay. On Saturday, at Milwaukee, Peddy scored eight points and had seven steals, five rebounds and four assists.
Heather Karner, Youngstown State
Sr. * G * St. Louis, Mo.
Karner averaged 17 points per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from behind the three-point line. Karner scored 11 points against Loyola last Thursday. She also scored a game-high 23 points in a 70-62 win over UIC. Karner has scored in double figures 22 times this season and has scored at least 20 points on seven occasions.
