CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland State University senior Josh Hungerman was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 17th round (511th overall) of the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Hungerman, a left-hander from Pittsburgh, Pa., went 5-6 with a 4.60 ERA in 13 starts for the Vikings. He recorded a Horizon League-best 91 strikeouts in 88 innings.
A first-team All-League pick as a designated hitter, Hungerman also hit .345 with 11 doubles, 11 homers and 50 RBI.

CHICAGO, Ill. -- University of Illinois at Chicago senior Adam Worthington was picked up by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 20th round (606th overall) of the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Worthington, a right-hander from Gurnee, Ill., was named 2009 Horizon League Pitcher of the Year after going 4-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 15 appearances for the Flames. He collected a team-best 73 strikeouts in a Horizon League-high 95.2 innings.
A first-team All-League selection, Worthington helped UIC to four consecutive Horizon League regular-season titles, two League tournament championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
