INDIANAPOLIS - Loyola University Chicago senior forward Mark Halma has been named Horizon League Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 14-20.

A native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Halma scored twice on headers in the second half to propel Loyola to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Oral Roberts University Sunday in the UMKC Invitational. He netted the tying goal in the 70th minute and the match-winner in the 82nd, both off assists from Eric Gehrig.

Halma was named Most Valuable Player of the event as the Ramblers swept a pair of opponents, including a 1-0 overtime victory Friday on an own goal over host University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Loyola (3-1-1) opens its League schedule this week with matches at Cleveland State University Friday and at Valparaiso University Sunday.
