Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Eric Hines, UW-Green Bay, Sophomore, Omaha, Neb.
Hines swept a pair of singles matches in two Phoenix dual match wins last weekend. He cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win over Chicago State's Brett Thompson at No. 3 singles and followed up with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Western Illinois' Rob Coventry.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Molly Smith, UIC, Junior, Leawood, Kan.
Smith shined during the Flames' grueling three-match road trip, going 2-1 at No. 4 singles. Smith ran her record to 2-0 at Illinois with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Emily Wang to help the Flames take the No. 33 Illini down to the wire. Smith also turned in a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Marquette's Elsemienke Dokter and teamed with Grace Gill-Morlis to post UIC's only doubles win against the Golden Eagles. The junior is now 3-1 in dual matches on the year.

Men's Other Top Performers
Eric Fey, UIC, Freshman, St. Charles, Ill.
The smallest player on the UIC squad at 5-foot-7, Fey played a huge role in the Flames' 6-1 win over Wayne State. Fey moved up to the No. 4 spot and registered a 6-1, 6-2 win over Adam Williams, then teamed with Paul Glendenning to post an 8-2 win over the duo of Phil Tharakan and Mike Frolou. The rookie is now 4-2 on the young season, with three straight wins in a row.

Craig Smith, Wright State, Sophomore, Pickerington, Ohio
Smith defeated Toledo's Tony Tran on Saturday, 7-6, 6-4 to extend his personal win streak to six. He also is 6-0 in the fourth slot and 11-5 overall this season as the Raiders are 6-4 on the season.

Women's Other Top Performers
Audra Beckett, Wright State, Sophomore, Hamilton, Ohio
Beckett went 2-0 last weekend defeating Laura Ferreira of Morehead State, 6-1, 6-0 in the singles and winning the doubles match with Laura Culbertson, 8-2, over Westchenfelder and Ferreira of MSU. Beckett is 8-6 on the season in singles play and has won three individual matches in a row.
