Women’s Schedule
The next women's tournament is scheduled for Oct. 7.

Green Bay and Valparaiso travel to the John Dallio Memorial at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, Ill. The 54-hole tournament is played at a par 72 6,898 yards.

Senior Kyle Henning is the defending individual champion. The right-handed golfer from Brookfield, Wis. shot rounds of 76-72-73 (221, +5) to best Griffin Bauman of Northern Illinois by one shot.

Valparaiso last competed at the John Piper Intercollegiate on Sept. 16-17 held at Stone Ridge Golf Club. The Crusaders finished three shots off the pace set by Marshall.

Nick Seitz lead the squad with scores of 71-72-73 (216, E). The freshman from Xenia, Ohio finished in a tie for fifth place.

Green Bay comes into the tournament fresh off a win at the Chicago State Cougar Classic on Sept. 24. The Phoenix was led by Horizon League Player of the Week Joe Collard. The junior from Marinette, Wis. shot a steady 146 (+2, 73, 73) at Harborside International Golf Center to finish in a tie for second place.

The field includes the aforementioned Horizon League schools; along with host DePaul, Eastern Illinois, IUPUI, Loyola, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Seton Hall, SIE Edwardsville and Chicago State.

Cleveland State hosts the Cleveland State Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The 54-hole event will be played at the par-72 7,049-yard Barrnington Country Club in Aurora, Ohio. Golfers are slated to play 36-holes on Monday followed by 18-holes on Tuesday.

The field includes four Horizon League schools Cleveland State, Oakland, Wright State, Detroit, and Youngstown State. Other schools scheduled to participate include Loyola, Robert Morris, Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Dayton, Butler, IPFW, and Evansville.

Cleveland State was in action last on Sept. 9-10 at the Marshall Fall Invitational. Senior Brendan Byrne shot rounds of 71-70-71 (212, -1) for a top-10 finish. Cleveland State finished fourth out of 15 teams at the par-71, 6,573-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club.

Oakland last competed on Sept. 21-22 at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at the par-71 7,155 yard Wolf Run Golf Club.

The Grizzlies have competed in two tournaments this fall; both of which included teams who participated in the 2013 NCAA Men’s Division I Championships, including 2013 NCAA National Runner-Up Illinois. Illinois went on to win the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.

Sophomore Evan Bowser and senior Mark Foster led the team to a 12th place finish with 54-hole totals of 226 (+13).

Wright State completed play on Sept. 24 at the Louisville Cardinal Intercollegiate at the Cardinal Club, played to a par 72, 7,036.

The Raiders finished in 15th place and were led by Cody Nickson, who fired rounds of 77-73-75 (225, +9). The junior from Stow, Ohio averaged a 74.0 in his six rounds of action last season.

Detroit last teed it up at the Wolverine Intercollegiate on Sept. 15-16 at the U-M Golf Club. The Titans placed 10th and were led by senior Brendan Leonard and freshman Kyle Gaines.

Both ended the tournament sitting at 220 (+7). Lenoard shot rounds of 70-79-71 while Gaines shot a steady 74-73-73.

Youngstown State last competed at the John Piper Intercollegiate on Sept. 16-17. The Penguins placed fifth and were paced by sophomore Dennis Holub.

Holub fired an impressive eight-under par 64 in round one. He followed that up with rounds of 76-75 to finish at 215, good for a tie for third.
