INDIANAPOLIS - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee freshman forward Sarah Hagen has been named Horizon League Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Oct. 20-26. It is Hagen's third weekly honor from the league office this season.

Hagen, a native of Appleton, Wis., scored three goals and handed out two assists to lead the No. 18 Panthers to a 2-0 week. She opened the week with four points (1g, 2a) in Milwaukee's 3-0 win over Detroit last Friday. Both of her assists against the Titans came in the first half, and she found the back of the net herself in the 70th minute.

Hagen recorded a pair of goals in Milwaukee's regular season finale against Valparaiso. The first tally came in the fifth minute, when she buried a header off a pass from junior Kate Megna. She scored again in the final minutes, bringing her season goals total to 20.

Hagen, who currently leads the nation in goals, now owns Milwaukee's single-season records for goals (20) and points (44).

The freshman was previously named Horizon League Player of the Week on Aug. 25 and Oct. 13. Megna and UWM senior Sarah Teegarden have each earned the award once this season.

Hagen and the Panthers (15-2-2, 7-1-0 HL) have earned the No. 2 seed in the U.S. Army Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship. They will host No. 7 seed Green Bay (5-6-4, 2-4-2 HL) in quarterfinal action Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
