Milwaukee's Wardecke and Youngstown State's Hill earn weekly honors

INDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee’s Sarah Wardecke has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the week and Casey Hill has earned Women’s Diver of the Week for Nov. 2-8.

Wardecke, a junior from Appleton, Wis. earned season-best times on Friday at the Northwestern Quad meet. She took first-place in the 50 Freestyle (24.17), 100 freestyle (52.25) and helped the 200 Freestyle Relay team win in a time of 1:37.35.

Hill, a sophomore from Bethlehem, Penn. has earned her second diver of the week award. Competing against Marshall on Saturday, she scored 278.85 in the 1-meter dive, taking first and also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 279.15.

Milwaukee returns to action this weekend competing in the Stevens Point Border Battle Friday (6pm CST) and Saturday (10am). Youngstown State hosts Bowling Green at 4pm (EST) on Friday.
