Loyola University Chicago junior Cynthia Morote-Ariza has been selected to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Women's Soccer Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Morote-Ariza, a two-time Horizon League Player of the Year, was one of 33 players in the University Division (NCAA Division I) honored.

Morote-Ariza owns 3.45 GPA as a Psychology major at Loyola. She scored 18 goals and totaled 19 assists this season, finishing with a Horizon League-best 55 points. In just three seasons, she is third in Horizon League history with 125 career points.
