Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Andrew Sherman, Butler, Senior, Swindon, England
Sherman broke his own school record in the 800-meter run while winning the event at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational. He won the race in 1:50.32, breaking the Butler record of 1:50.88 that he set while winning the 800-meter run at the Miami Invitational a year ago. Sherman also topped the NCAA Regional Qualifying mark with his performance at Miami.
Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Stephanie Ray, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Racine, Wis.
Ray took second in the pole vault to lead the Panthers at last weekend's Big Blue Invitational. She posted a final height of 11'5.75" in the event, before cracking the school's all-time top 10 with her performance in the triple jump. In that event, Ray cleared 36'1.25" for a seventh-place finish.

Sinisa Simic, Detroit, Sophomore, Windsor, Ont.
Simic broke the 17 year- old school record in the steeple chase with his time of 9:39.29, this weekend at the Duke Invitational, besting the old mark held by Director of Track and Field Guy Murray by almost five seconds.
Brandon Cook, UIC, Junior, Decatur, Ill.
Cook turned in three, top-two finishes, including a winning time of 21.71 in the 200-meter dash to propel the men's track and field squad to the Chicagoland Championships title, hosted by North Central College, on Saturday afternoon. Cook picked up runner-up finishes in both the 100-meter dash (10.74) and as a member of the 4x100 relay (41.85), along with juniors Marcus Lesley, Justin Malec and sophomore Trent Thompson.
Jeremy Majors, UW-Milwaukee, Sophomore, Jonesboro, Ga.
Majors helped the Panthers to a third-place finish at the Big Blue Invitational last weekend, running with the first-place 4x800m relay and taking second in the 800-meter. UWM's 4x800-meter relay broke its own school record in the event, running a national-caliber time of 7:29.14. In the 800-meter, he knocked almost four seconds off his personal record and just missed a regional qualifier by 0.37 seconds. He completed the event in 1:50.77.

Victoria Mitchell, Butler, Senior, Mansfield, Victoria, Australia
Mitchell captured the 1500-meter run at the Miami Invitational for the second consecutive year. She won the race in 4:32.34, finishing three seconds ahead of runner-up Jennie Stoll of Miami. It was her fastest 1500-meter race since she ran 4:28.08 a year ago.
Andrea Karl, Detroit, Junior, Casco, Mich.
Karl ran the 1500-meter in a time of 4:35.25, setting a new personal record and the third fastest time in school history this weekend at Duke. Karl teamed up with Amanda Smith, LeAnn Sarka and Andi McAlister in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 9:47.85, the 10th fastest in school history.
Jessica Fouche, UIC, Junior, Chicago, Ill.
Fouche ran a leg of the school-record, 4x400 relay that finished second overall with a time of 3:53.51. Fouche also added a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash (25.02).
Cortney Mann, Wright State, Sophomore, Hilliard, Ohio
Mann threw the discus 37.82 meters for seventh place in the Miami Invitational on Saturday.
