Second round of Horizon League volleyball set to begin

Heading into the second half of conference play, all nine horizon league volleyball teams are in action this weekend, with four matches beginning on Friday.

Starting out the weekend, first place Butler (12-7, 7-1 Horizon) will host No. 4 Valparaiso (16-4, 5-3), while second place Cleveland State (15-2, 6-2) hosts No. 5 UIC (9-11, 4-4).  Wright State (7-13, 2-6) and Loyola (9-10, 2-6), both tied for seventh in the league, will square off on Friday as the Raiders host the Ramblers.  All three matches are set to begin at 7 pm ET.

Also on Friday, sixth-place Green Bay (7-15, 3-5) travels to league-leading Milwaukee (10-8, 7-1) for an 8 pm ET start.

Conference action continues on Saturday as UIC travels to No. 9 Youngstown State (2-19, 0-8) for a 2 pm match.  Valpo heads to Dayton for a 4 pm contest with Wright State, and Loyola journeys to Butler for a 7pm start.

In Saturday non-conference play, Milwaukee will host SIU Edwardsville in a 3 pm ET contest.
