INDIANAPOLIS -- The Horizon League announced Tuesday (Feb. 19) that six more men's basketball games will air on Sirius Satellite Radio. The games are in addition to two contests previously scheduled for broadcast through the service.
Four of the Sirius Satellite Radio broadcasts are slated for Saturday (Feb. 23) as part of the sixth annual O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters event. The schedule begins at 5 p.m. (Eastern time) when eighth-ranked Butler University (24-2, 13-2 Horizon League) hosts #16/18 Drake University (23-2 prior to Tuesday's game versus Bradley University) at Hinkle Fieldhouse in a battle of top-20 teams airing on Sirius Channel 130.
Valparaiso University (15-11, 6-8 Horizon League) hosts Miami [Ohio] University (13-11 prior to Tuesday's game versus the University of Akron) at 6 p.m. (ET) Saturday, with that game available on Sirius Channel 121. The 6:30 p.m. (ET) tip-off between host Cleveland State University (17-11) and Marist College (15-12) airs on Sirius Channel 122, with the 9 p.m. (ET) contest between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (13-11, 8-6 Horizon League) and host Bradley University (15-12 prior to Tuesday's game versus Drake) broadcast on Sirius Channel 107.
Wright State University's final two regular-season games are scheduled for broadcast, with the Raiders (19-6, 11-4 Horizon League) visiting Butler on Thursday, Feb. 28, and closing the regular season on Saturday, March 1, at Valparaiso. The WSU/BU contest---a potential battle for the top seed in the Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship---will air on Sirius Channel 119 beginning at 9 p.m. (ET), with next Saturday's noon (ET) showdown on Sirius Channel 127. Defending League champion Wright State has won ten consecutive games to climb into second place, and defeated Butler in the team's first meeting (43-42 on Dec. 6).
Two other Horizon League match-ups also will air on Sirius, beginning Monday (Feb. 25) when Milwaukee hosts Valparaiso for a 9 p.m. (ET) tip-off on Sirius Channel 130. Next Thursday's contest between host Milwaukee and Loyola University Chicago (9-16, 5-10) airs live at 9 p.m. (ET) on Sirius Channel 119.
