Men's Athlete of the Week
Mark Sommerfeld, DetroitWaterloo, Ontario * SeniorSommerfeld won his second tournament medal of the spring as he broke par (213, three-under) to win the Detroit Titans Invitational. Sommerfeld put together rounds of 69, 70 and 74 to win the third individual title of his career. He enters next week's League championship with the conference's lowest stroke average (72.2).

Ryan Stocke, Youngstown StateElida, Ohio * JuniorStocke's final-round, three-under 69 drew him within one shot of medalist Mark Sommerfeld at the Detroit Titans Invitational last week. Stocke finished the tournament two-under par with opening rounds of 72 and 73. On the year, the junior owns the League's second-best scoring average at 72.3.
Sean Bidzinski, LoyolaBelvidere, Ill. * JuniorBidzinski led all Loyola golfers at the Boilermaker Invitational by tying for 46th place. The left-handed junior posted a 54-hole score of 221 (70-74-77), which included a two-under-par 70 in round one, a score that matched his low this season. For the year, Bidzinski owns a 77.6 average.
Doug Barber, Cleveland StateWilloughby, Ohio * SeniorBarber posted his second straight top-five finish as he tied for fourth place at the Titan Invitational over the weekend. Barber, who won the Wright State Invitational two weeks ago, carded rounds of 72-73-75 for a 54-hole total 220.
Travis Meyer, Green BayRiver Falls, Wis. * SeniorMeyer tied for eighth at the Detroit Invitational last week with a three-round total of 223. After shooting a six-over 78 in the opening round, the senior shot just one over during the final two rounds.
