Horizon League Men's Swimmer of the Week



Joey Weber

UW-Green Bay, Junior, Eden Prairie, Minn.

Weber won three individual events and swam a leg on three winning relays in helping the Phoenix cruise to the team title at the Husky Invitational. He tallied victories in the 50-yard freestyle (22.35), 100-yard backstroke (52.37) and the 200-yard back (1:56.14), in addition to swimming on the winning 200 medley relay (1:38.54), 400 medley relay (3:35.69) and 400 freestyle relay (3:14.14).



Horizon League Women's Swimmer of the Week



Marianne Lionell

Cleveland State, Junior, Sodertajle, Sweden

Lionell posted three wins over the weekend against Wright State (Nov. 4) and Xavier (Nov. 5). She posted a team-best 2:28.89 in the 200 breast against the Raiders before scoring team-bests in the 200 IM (2:12.97) and in the 100 free (53.94). She also swam the lead leg for the winning 400 free relay team against Xavier.



Horizon League Men's Diver of the Week



Thatcher Carr

Cleveland State, Sr., Russell, Ohio

Carr dove to a pair of wins against Wright State (Nov. 4), recording a 318.75 at one meter and a 317.25 at three meter. Carr has tallied a win in all 20 of the events in which he has competed since last January.



Horizon League Women's Diver of the Week



Erin Blemberg

UW-Milwaukee, Senior, Appleton, Wis.

Blemberg earned wins in both diving events against UIC, winning the one-meter board with a career-best 284.33 points. She placed first in the 3-meter event with 277.35 points.

Other Top Performances



Elvis Cirikovic

Wright State, Sr., Ljubljana, Slovenia

Cirikovic was a part of three first place finishes on Friday versus Cleveland State as he won the 50 (21.46) and 100 free (47.93) and was a part of the victorious 400 free relay team. He also picked up a second place finish in the 100 free on Saturday at Oakland University in 47.63.



Robby Leibold

UW-Milwaukee, Fr., Neenah, Wis.

Leibold posted a strong showing against UIC, winning two events and taking second in another. He placed first (by over 16 seconds) in the 1000 free with a time of 9:52.71 and set a season-best time of 4:47.60 in winning the 500-free and then took second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:15.45.



Stefan Staev

UIC, Sr., Skokie, Ill.

Staev captured both the 100-yd backstroke (1:00.22) and the 200-yd breaststroke (2:12.10) in season-best times against UW-Milwaukee on Saturday. He also helped guide the 400 medley relay team to a victory in 3:33.06.



Björn Schantz

Cleveland State, Jr., Loddeköpinge, Sweden

Schantz posted four wins last weekend against Wright State (Nov. 4) and Xavier (Nov. 5). He swam to a Horizon League-best 9:29.11 in the 1,000 freestyle against the Raiders before scoring a win in the 500 freestyle in 4:36.94. Against the Musketeers, he tallied additional wins in the 1,000 freestyle (9:35.15) and in the 500 free (4:47.78).



Phillip Zumstein

UW-Green Bay, Jr., Mundelein, Ill.

Zumstein finished first on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards in helping lead the Phoenix to victory at the Husky Invitational. He posted a score of 500.80 to win the 3-meter competition by over 50 points and a mark of 472.60 to easily win the 1-meter competition.



Mark Pappalardo

UIC, Jr., LaGrange,Ill.

Pappalardo picked up his second 1-meter win of the season with a score of 275.10 at UW-Milwaukee. He also placed third on the 3-meter board. Pappalardo has been victorious at least once in each of the past three weeks.



Jeff Jasinowski

UW-Milwaukee, Sr., Bayside, Wis.

Jasinowski dove to season-best scores in both events against UIC, winning the 3-meter event with a score of 285.68 and taking second in the 1-meter board with a score of 270.45.



Ryan Kellerman

Wright State, Jr., Erlanger, KY

Kellerman had one first place and three second place finishes over the weekend with a victory in the 1-meter at Oakland on Saturday with a score of 276 and second place finishes in the 3-meter against Oakland (278.70) and on both boards against Cleveland State on Friday.



Jessica Weidert

Wright State, So., Spokane, Washington

Weidert was victorious in two individual events and was part of a relay win on Friday against Cleveland State. She posted a time of 2:12.64 in the 200 IM and was first in the breaststroke in 2:26.74. Weidert also participated in the 400-medley win with a time of 4:01.30.



Julie Olson

UW-Milwaukee, Sr., Hastings, Minn.

Olson contributed three victories and a third-place showing to help the Panthers to victory over UIC. She won the 100 backstroke (1:00.82) and 200 back (2:09.21) in addition to being the lead leg of UWM's first place 400 medley relay team who won in 4:01.97. She also took third on the 400 IM.



Courtney Eck

UIC, Fr., Chanhassen, Minn.

Eck lead UIC in three different events on Saturday, including a victory in the 500-yd freestyle (5:21.35), a third-place butterfly time of 2:16.79 and a team-leading 400 IM showing at 4:45.59.



Caitlin Carey

UIC, Sr., Buffalo, NY

Carey was the top UIC diver over the weekend, earning a third-place finish on the three-meter board at UW-Milwaukee with a score of 234.30.



Danielle DeGrand

UW-Green Bay, Fr., Green Bay, Wis.

DeGrand won three individual events and swam on two winning relays in the team victory at the Husky Invitational Saturday. She claimed individual titles in the 500 freestyle (5:07.62) and 400 individual medley (4:36.58) and also finished first in the 200 IM (2:11.30) and swam on the winning 400 medley relay (4:05.03) and 400 free relay teams (3:40.71).



Kari Helland

UW-Green Bay, So., Wayzata, Minn

Helland finished first on the 3-meter board at the Husky Invitational with a score of 411.10. She also placed second on the 1-meter board behind teammate Ashley Hall with a mark of 362.95.
