Alafriz had a perfect week at No. 3 singles and won a pair of doubles matches at No. 1 with partner Mihkel Kruusmagi. In singles play, he defeated opponents from Duquesne (6-1, 6-1) and IPFW (6-1, 7-6(4)). In doubles, he and Kruusmagi defeated competitors from IPFW and the #55-ranked duo from Duquesne by identical scores of 8-6.

Jenkins picked up a win at both doubles and singles play to help the Bulldogs win their season-opener against Indiana State on Saturday. She teamed with Molly Casperson to post a decisive 8-0 win at the No. 2 position before winning at No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-0.

In her collegiate debut, Kovaleva won her matches at No. 1 doubles (8-7) at No. 2 singles (6-2, 4-6, 6-1) as the Flames lost 4-3 to Marquette.
