Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Eric Fey, UIC, Freshman, St. Charles, Ill.
The freshman continues to come up big for the Flames, winning both of his singles matches this past weekend to extend his winning streak to five. Fey ignited a 5-2 win over Valpo with a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 rally win over Mike Wagner and a doubles victory, then posted the only win of the night against Northern Illinois with another comeback win, this time a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Adam Ford.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Alaina Griffin, Butler, Junior, Portland, Mich.
Griffin led the Bulldogs to a 5-2 victory over League foe Detroit Saturday, dropping Bianca Savarino, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 1 singles spot. She also teamed with freshman Kim Jenson to post an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Despite a loss to Big Ten opponent Indiana Sunday, the Bulldogs enter this weekend's play with an overall record of 3-3, including a 1-0 mark in League play.
Other Top Men's Performers
James Low, Butler, Sophomore, Ottawa, Ont.
Low led the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record on the weekend, winning three singles matches at the No. 1 singles spot, all in straight sets. Low defeated Bradley's Marko Marevic, 6-1, 6-3 Saturday before dropping the University of Indianapolis' Ross Johnson and IPFW's Landry Nzudie Sunday. Low teamed with junior Parker Ross to split two singles matches. The Bulldogs open Horizon League play Sunday at UW-Green Bay after traveling to Madison, Wis., to face the Big Ten's Wisconsin on Saturday.
Jason Trapp, Youngstown State, Sophomore, Howland, Ohio
Trapp improved his record to 2-0 this spring by defeating Wayne State's Ryan Buck 6-4, 6-2 on Saturday night. Trapp is 4-2 this season when competing at No. 5 singles.

Stephanie Hill, Detroit, Freshman, Calgary, Mich.
Hill had a perfect 2-0 weekend in singles play as the Titans traveled to Indianapolis and split a pair of matches, defeating IUPUI, then falling in their Horizon League opener to Butler. Playing in the No. 6 slot in Detroit's lineup, Hill defeated IUPUI's Nikki Evans in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. She came back a day later to top Butler's Kaitlin Elliott, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (7).
Grace Gill-Morlis, UIC, Freshman, Lima, Peru
Gill-Morlis continues to shine during her rookie campaign. The freshman won two singles matches and a doubles bout to help the Flames take Bowling Green to the brink in a 4-3 loss while keying a Flames 5-2 upset of perennial Atlantic-10 power Xavier. Gill-Morlis registered one of the Flames' two singles wins against the Falcons with a 6-3, 7-6(5) win over Cam Benjamin, then went on to down Alicia Papa with a 6-2, 6-4 victory on Sunday against the Musketeers.
Laura Culbertson, Wright State, Junior, Springfield, Ohio
Culbertson went 2-1 this weekend defeating Jamie Aid of Lipscomb, 6-0, 6-1 and Terin Roof of EKU, 6-4, 6-1. She also went 1-1 in doubles as the Raiders went 1-2 with a win over Lipscomb, 6-1.
