UW-Green Bay 75, Montana State 70
BOZEMAN, Mont.-Despite trailing by 10 points at the half and by as many as 12 midway through the second half, UW-Green Bay rallied to earn a 75-70 road win over Montana State Saturday night in Bozeman. The Phoenix improves to 5-2 with the win in the first ever meeting of the two schools. After adjusting to the thin air nearly 5,000 feet above sea level, the Phoenix found itself in a 10-point hole with 12:55 remaining in the second half, 54-44. A 17-2 Green Bay run over the next five minutes gave the Phoenix a five-point lead, 61-56, with 7:51 to play. Sophomore Ryan Evanochko led the Phoenix with a career-high 19 points in 8-12 shooting in his third 40-minute outing of the season. Classmate Tyler Koenig tied a career-high with 12 points in the win.

Akron 81, Wright State 70
DAYTON-DaShaun Wood's career-high 29 points was not enough as Wright State fell to Akron 81-70 at WSU's Nutter Center Saturday night. Wood was 10-of-17 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line and shared a team-high five rebounds with Zach Williams. Zakee Boyd came off the bench to score 14 points, while Drew Burleson added 10. The Zips (5-2) led the entire first half, leading 27-24 at the break. The Raiders (4-4) outscored the Zips 11-3 to start the second half to take a 35-31 lead with 16:10 remaining in the game. Akron then went on a 15-5 run over the next six minutes and never looked back.

Indiana State 57, Butler 54
TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-David Moss scored 29 points and Indiana State found its shooting touch in the second half to win its fourth straight game with a 57-54 victory over Butler on Saturday. Indiana State took 26 shots in each half but made 15 in the second half after hitting just nine in the opening period, which ended with Butler (3-3) ahead 25-19 and seemingly on its way to a fourth straight victory in its century-old rivalry with the Sycamores (5-2). Butler, suffering its third straight loss, could not overcome Indiana State's strength inside. The Sycamores beat the Bulldogs on the boards 36-22 and outscored them 10-3 on second-chance points. Nick Brooks came off the Butler bench to score 13 points and grab five rebounds, tying him for team highs in both stats.

Cincinnati 61, Detroit 44
CINCINNATI-Torvoris Baker came off the bench to give Detroit season-highs of 11 points and eight rebounds, but it was nowhere near enough as undefeated Cincinnati - ranked 20th this week in the USA Today/ESPN poll - handed UDM a 61-44 loss on Saturday night in Fifth Third Arena. Following a season-opening victory over Southwest Missouri State, cold-shooting Detroit suffered its sixth straight setback, the Titans' longest losing streak in 13 campaigns. Baker was the lone Titan in double figures for the night as fellow reserve Zach Everingham was next in line with eight points (all in the first half). Overall, Detroit's bench outscored the starting lineup, 32-12.

Kent State 71, Cleveland State 68
CLEVELAND-DeAndre Hayes scored 20 points, including 14 in the second half to lead Kent State back from a 19-point second half deficit to claim a 71-68 win over Cleveland State before a Homecoming crowd of 4,040 Saturday in the Convocation Center. The game was a tale of two halves as the Vikings dominated at both ends of the court for the first 23 minutes in building a 48-29 lead before going cold over the final 17 minutes. Patrick Tatham led Cleveland State with 16 points, one of his career high, while adding a game-high eight rebounds. Omari Westley added 14 points and six rebounds and freshman Mike Redell netted a career-high 10 points.

Bowling Green 81, Youngstown State 59
YOUNGSTOWN-Youngstown State could not stop Bowling Green's big three as the Penguins lost 81-59 to the Falcons on Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly Center. BGSU's Josh Almanson, John Reimold and Steven Wright combined for 58 points as the Falcons (5-1) won for the fifth straight time. The Penguins (2-4) were led by Quin Humphrey who scored in double figures for the sixth straight game with 16 points. The game was decided in the early going when Bowling Green built a 26-6 lead by the 12:41 mark. The Penguins pulled with 12 points by scoring eight unanswered points, but by halftime, the Falcons had built a 45-23 advantage.

Valparaiso 72, UW-Milwaukee 71
VALPARAISO, Ind.-Jarryd Loyd hit the second of his two free throw attempts with 1.8 seconds remaining to lift Valparaiso to a 72-71 win over UW-Milwaukee Saturday night in front of 4,242 noisy fans at the Athletics Recreation Center. Loyd's chance at the foul line came after a controversial loose-ball foul call on UWM's Chris Hill Boo Davis had tied the game with a three-point shot from the right corner with 6.6 seconds remaining. Joah Tucker led the Panthers (6-1) with 20 points.
