UW-Green Bay's Mor Named to Academic All-America Second-Team

Green Bay, Wis. - Tiffany Mor, an elementary education major and member of the UW-Green Bay women's basketball team, was named to the 2004-05 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America second team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Mor becomes the fourth player in UW-Green Bay women's basketball history and third in the past seven seasons to be named an Academic All-American. Most recently, Kristy Loiselle was a second team Academic All-America selection in 2003, while Chari Nordgaard was a first team Academic All-American in 1999. In 1983, Pam Roecker was named a first team NAIA Academic All-American.

Along with her second team Academic All-America honors, Mor was recently named the 2005 Horizon League Player of the Year. Mor led the Horizon League this season with 16.1 points per game along with 62.2 field goal percentage and 62 blocks. After missing all but four games of the 2003-04 season, Mor also led UW-Green Bay with 5.8 rebounds a game.

Mor was one of three players from District V to earn Academic All-America honors; Ball State's Kate Endress was named the Academic All-American of the Year while Minnesota's April Calhoun was a third team selection.

UW-Green Bay (24-3) will begin the 2005 Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship tonight when it hosts Cleveland State at 7 p.m. at the Phoenix Sports Center.
