UWM Head Coach Bruce Pearl on the play of Joah Tucker
"Joah Tucker probably doesn't get the kind of credit and talk that he deserves.
He was the best player on the floor tonight and there have been a lot of games
this year where that was the case. He was unstoppable."
Pearl on if he has ever seen Tucker play a better game
"Joah will tell you that I expect this from him. Maybe the numbers were a
little higher than what I expected, but this is how I know he can dominate
basketball games at both ends of the floor."
Joah Tucker on his play in the game
"I was just trying to win the game. When they made runs, we had to do something
positive. We had the crowd behind us I knew we were going to pull it off.
Coach made the right calls."
Loyola Head Coach Jim Whitesell
"We would have had to have played our A-plus game to win and we knew that. And
I loved our effort. I know effort is not what it's about, necessarily, but
it's where you start.
Whitesell on the strides his team has made
"Obviously Blake has made an incredible jump and our team has made a lot of
strides as a group. So I think we have a lot to build off of."
Whitesell on
"I think you have to give
awfully good basketball team. They were ready to play and they played a very,
very good basketball game."
Blake Schilb on being slowed offensively
"Yeah, we played a tough game last night that went into overtime. But I came
out tonight, my adrenaline was pumping, coach was able to get me the ball early
and I was able to get a couple shots. Then they adjusted to that. They
started throwing double teams in and I missed a couple shots that I regularly
would make."
