Indianapolis, Ind. - After two days of competition and rain delays, the 2005 Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships concluded as the UW-Milwaukee men and the Youngstown State women were crowned the 2005 champions. UWM wrapped up the competition with 231 points and won three of the four individual awards, while YSU finished the meet with 180 points.

Pete Corfeld of UW-Milwaukee received men's Coach of the Year accolades while Youngstown State's Brian Gorby was named the women's Coach of the Year.

On the men's side, UIC finished in second place with 111 points while Loyola grabbed the third place position with 87 points. Detroit (81) followed in third place while Butler (72) took fifth and Youngstown State (54) rounded out the field in the sixth place position.

In the women's competition, Detroit and UW-Milwaukee tied for second place with 151 points apiece while UIC followed with 53 points. Loyola finished with 49 points, Butler with 46 points and Wright State with 21 points.
