BUTLER BULLDOGS (15-5, 5-3)

  • At 15-5, Butler is off to its best 20-match start since 1997. That season, the Bulldogs began the year 17-3.
  • Butler continues to lead the Horizon League in blocking at 2.49 per set. The Bulldogs have notched double-figure blocking totals in 11 matches this season.
  • Butler is the only school with three individuals in the Horizon League's top 10 for points per set. Sophomore Jessica Wolfe is third (3.83), while junior Porshia Allen places fifth (3.57) and sophomore Kelsey Labrum ranks ninth (3.37).
  • Butler also paces the conference in hitting percentage (.217).

    CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (4-13, 3-5)
  • Senior Jordan Bateman, who had 60 digs in three matches last week, is now just 66 shy of the school record. CSU's current record holder is Emily Clark, who collected 1,406 digs from 2002-05.
  • Junior Kayla Lefeld has recorded three straight double-doubles and now owns four in her last five matches.
  • Cleveland State posted its 16th straight win over Youngstown State on Tuesday night.

    GREEN BAY PHOENIX (8-10, 4-4)
  • Green Bay has equaled last year's Horizon League win total of four.
  • Senior Megan Elfering places sixth in the nation with 5.67 digs per set.
  • The Phoenix has just one match over the next 11 days after having seven over the previous 17 days.

    LOYOLA RAMBLERS (14-6, 4-4)
  • Loyola's win over Butler on Saturday afternoon was its first at Hinkle Fieldhouse since 2003.
  • Four Ramblers -- sophomore Katie Johnson (47.5), senior Sarah Singer (46.5), sophomore Mallory Curran (43) and junior Dana VanDiggelen (42.5) -- tallied at least 40 points in three matches last week.
  • Seven of Loyola's first eight Horizon League matches were on the road. The Ramblers went 4-4 during the stretch.
  • Seven of Loyola's final nine matches are at home. The Ramblers have won 75 percent of their matches at Alumni Gym all-time.

    MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (14-5, 7-1)
  • Milwaukee is now 96-8 in October over the last 11-plus season and has won 16 of its last 18 Horizon League road contests.
  • No league opponent has hit better than .200 against the Panthers this season. UIC's .176 hitting clip on Wednesday evening marked a season-high for a UWM conference opponent.
  • Junior Lauren Felsing places 10th in the country with 5.31 digs per set.
  • Freshman Kerri Schuh equaled her collegiate high with a team-best 13 kills at Cleveland State on Sunday afternoon.

    UIC FLAMES (7-12, 2-6)
  • UIC tallied a season-high 25 blocks in a five-set win over Valparaiso on Saturday night.
  • Sophomore Epiphany Davis registered a career-high nine blocks against the Crusaders.
  • Junior Katerina Hanackova posted her seventh and eighth double-doubles on the year vs. Milwaukee and Valparaiso last week.

    VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (12-6, 4-4)
  • Valparaiso ranks second in the nation with 15.06 kills per set and second with 13.96 assists per set.
  • Junior Angie Porche places seventh in the country with 4.69 kills per set. Senior Brittany Malicoat is 11th with 5.18 digs per set.
  • Valparaiso tallied 110 digs against UIC on Saturday night -- its most since collecting 112 vs. Western Illinois on Nov. 17, 2006.
  • Valparaiso had several players establish new career highs vs. UIC. Junior Kim Bukowski registered 17 digs and three blocks, while junior Haley Wise recorded 20 digs and senior Allison Sears collected eight digs.

    WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (8-12, 5-3)
  • Wright State has moved into a second-place tie in the Horizon League standings by winning five of its last seven conference matches and six of its last nine overall.
  • Wright State is 8-12 overall (No. 7 in winning percentage), but 5-3 in league play (tied for No. 2 in winning percentage).

    YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (9-9, 2-6)
  • Youngstown State's .289 attack percentage against Green Bay on Sunday afternoon was its best since a .384 effort against Saint Peter's on Sept. 13. Prior to Sunday, YSU had hit .154 or lower in four straight matches -- all of which were losses.
  • YSU's victory over Green Bay on Sunday afternoon was its first against the Phoenix in head coach Joe Bonner's four-year tenure. The Penguins' last win against UWGB came on Oct. 25, 1998.
