Joanna Severson, UW-Milwaukee, Freshman, Midfielder,White Bear Lake, Minn.
Severson chose a great time for her first collegiate goal, tallying the game-winner in Milwaukee's 2-1 victory over Purdue. With 12 seconds remaining, she ricocheted a shot off the far post from a throw-in, lifting UWM over the Boilermakers in its regular-season finale.

Sophomore Kristin Harnest scored the game-winner in Tuesday's 1-0 win over IUPUI. It was her fourth goal in the team's last two matches. On the year, Harnest now has a team-leading six goals.
Stephanie Pauli, Loyola, Freshman, Forward, St. Louis, Mo.
Standout freshman forward Stephanie Pauli (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded her sixth and seventh goal of the regular season against Cleveland State this weekend. She now leads the Ramblers with 15 points and seven goals.
Sarah Oligney, UW-Green Bay, Junior, Midfielder, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
Oligney broke free for a standout game against Cleveland State Oct. 29 as the junior midfielder tallied two goals and an assist in the win. With the victory over the Vikings, the Phoenix halted a five-game winless streak and a run of four straight one-goal losses at home. The win was also the largest margin of victory for UW-Green Bay since an 8-0 win over Oral Roberts in the 1993 season.

No. 1 UW-Milwaukee (7-0) vs. No. 8 Cleveland State (0-7) - 2:00 p.m. - Field 1
UW-Milwaukee enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed once again. Due to the former tournament format, the Panthers made their 2003 championship debut in the semifinal round where they fell to No. 5 Detroit. Bringing home a tournament trophy would give UWM four championships overall. First year program, Cleveland State enters the Horizon League Championship in the No. 8 spot and will attempt to overcome the Panthers, despite a 1-0 loss to UWM (Oct. 3) earlier in the season. The team that comes out victorious will face either No. 4 Loyola or No. 5 Wright State in the semifinal match slated for 11:30 on Friday, Nov. 5 at Varsity Field.
No. 4 Loyola (3-3-1) vs. No. 5 Wright State (3-3-1) - 3:00 p.m. - Field 2
Loyola and Wright State ended the season with identical 3-3-1 records in league play. However, the Ramblers own the tie-breaker due to a 1-0 win over the Raiders on Oct. 17. Despite the loss, WSU outshot LUC 12-2 in Chicago and owned a 2-1 corner kick advantage. Last season, Loyola swept the championships as a No. 7 seed and will be looking to repeat in 2004. Wright State entered last year's tournament as a No. 4 seed and went home early, as it was defeated in the quarterfinal round by No. 5 Detroit. The winner of this match will play either No. 1 UW-Milwaukee or No. 8 Cleveland State on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11:30 at Varsity Field.
No. 2 Detroit (6-1) vs. No. 7 Youngstown State (1-6) - 4:30 p.m. - Field 1
Detroit improves three spots after entering the 2003 tournament as a No. 5 seed. The Titans appeared in the championship game knocking out No. 4 Wright State and No. 1 UW-Milwaukee along the way. In conference games this season, UDM leads the league in scoring with 23 goals, averaging 3.29 per game. As a No. 6 seed in 2003, Youngstown State was defeated in the quarterfinal round by No. 3 UW-Green Bay. The winner of this match will advance to face either No. 3 Butler or No. 6 UW-Green Bay at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 at Varsity Field.
No. 3 Butler (4-3) vs. No. 6 UW-Green Bay (2-3-2) - 5:30 p.m. - Field 2
The Bulldogs own the home tournament advantage and claimed a 2-1 victory over the Phoenix on Oct. 15 in Green Bay earlier in the season. Last year's No. 2 Butler team fell out of the championship early, as it was defeated 1-0 in the quarterfinal round by No. 7 Loyola, who went on the win the tournament title. UW-Green Bay was in the third-place position entering the championship and advanced to the semifinals by defeating No. 6 Youngstown State. UWGB was eventually defeated by the Ramblers 4-2. The Bulldogs lead the league in shots (120) as they are averaging 17.14 in league games. UW-Green Bay (114) is not far behind as it is averaging 16.29. Only one team will advance from this match, as the winner will play either No. 2 Detroit or No. 7 Youngstown State on Friday, November 5 at 2:30 p.m. at Varsity Field.
