Arguello helped lift Wright State (9-2) to two victories, going undefeated at both No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles as the Raiders knocked off Dayton, 6-1, and IUPUI, 5-2.
Against the intracity rivals, Arguello helped set the tone, breezing past his opponent in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Teaming with Ricardo Pineda to win at No. 2, 8-3.
The following day, Arguello and Pineda again collected a victory at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, before Arguello again won in straight sets at No. 1, 6-3, 6-3. On the season, Arguello is 8-3 for the Raiders, all at No. 1 singles.
Tsertvadze played in just one match for UIC (6-3), but made it count, collecting wins at No. 2 singles and doubles as the Flames collected the program’s first-ever win over Western Michigan, 5-2.
The senior helped UIC sweep doubles play, teaming with Elisa Simonetti for an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles. In singles play, Tsertvadze was the lone UIC player to collect a straight set victory, dropping just three games in a 6-2, 6-1 win.
