CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State senior men's golfer Andrew Bailey was named to the 2014 Division I PING All-Midwest Region team that was announced on Thursday morning.

It is the second straight year that Bailey has been named to the team.

Bailey, who earned Horizon League Player of the Year honors for the third straight season this year, led the Vikings with a school record 72.3 scoring average, besting the old record of 72.7 by Jake Scott set in 2007-08.

In addition, Bailey led the team with 19 rounds of par or better (out of 33 rounds), including a team-low round of 66 this season at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate, one of the three events he won this year.

Bailey also captured the UD Flyer Invitational and was the medalist at the Horizon League Championship. It was his second league title after he shared medalist honors with teammate Michael Klaric at the 2011 league championship.

Bailey posted six top-five finishes, eight top-10's and 11 top 20's this season in 11 events. He helped the Vikings to the NCAA regionals this year, concluding his career by tying for 15th place at the event at Rich Harvest Farms G.C.

A four-time first team all-league selection, Bailey's career scoring average of 73.5 is tops in CSU history.

A total of 157 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2014.
